Bruce Dagel FCA Area Rep
Area Representative in Cherokee County serving the coaches and athletes through huddles on the campuses of Cherokee, MMCRU and Alta-Aurelia. I joined the Northwest Iowa FCA staff in April of 2018. My family includes my wife Leah, 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Son Brock (wife Theresa and grandchildren Charlie Jo and Max), son Stetson (wife Bailey and grandson Baker) and daughter Olivia (husband Braydon and grandchildren Julian and Cora Fe).
I am a 1991 graduate of Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn High School in Hartley, Iowa where I participated in football, basketball, track, and baseball. I have coached many youth sports and also high school football and track. I graduated from Worthington Community College in Worthington, Minnesota with an Associate of Arts Degree in 1994.
My opportunity to serve FCA came about through job loss at year’s end 2017. I had always planned on being a teacher and coach knowing from my own experiences what the power of the two words “Coach Says” meant.
As an adult, I quickly came to realize the truth of Billy Graham's perceptive observation: "A coach will impact more people in one year than the average person will in an entire lifetime." Many coaches had an impact on me growing up and godly men as an adult preparing me for this new and exciting opportunity God was about to reveal. In April of 2018, I began the FCA journey as an Area Representative to engage, equip and empower hundreds of coaches and thousands of athletes for Jesus. My desire is to walk side-by-side with coaches and athletes as they pursue a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
